Does anyone know if it was possible to order a 270 straight 6 in a GMC 150 (3/4 ton) from the factory in 1955? I think, and please correct me if I'm wrong, but a 248 would have been standard on a 1955 (first series) 150. Of course the V8 came along with the new "Forward Design" released after March 1955. Thank you for your thoughts.

Hello, J.A.

Someone will answer soon.

Did you also post this question on the oldGMCtrucks.com [oldgmctrucks.infopop.cc] discussion board?

My 270 came out of a '55 GMC. The owner thought he had a 248.
