I hate to ask about this because I've spent some time searching trying to find the VIN on my truck, but I need help. Any suggestions from those that have Big Bolts on where I can find the VIN for my 1957 GMC F350 LCF?

Thanks for any input and sorry if this has been addressed somewhere else on the forums.

Sould be on driver door hinge pillar. Check inside glove box door. If it nowhere to be found, it's been removed. Seems like a hybrid truck. I think GMC called them LCF. Low Cab Forward.

Chevy called them LCF's, GMC called them 'F's'. What engine do you have? Nice that you kept the big wheels, would look undernourished in the fenders if 16's used.

Check the top of the frame rail, left side above the front axle, it should be stamped there as well. May require a wire brush to see it...

As far as I know, GMC did not stamp the frames but who knows what frame he has.

Apparently GMC stopped stamping frames, someone on here knows when. My '37 has it stamped top right of frame just inside front wheel, right side.

Not stamped in his era. The GMC frame stamp, which is on the front passenger side, specified to be on the side of the frame, corresponds to the Serial/Data plate being on the cowl. When GMC went to drivers door hinge pillar plate, no stamp. Looks like mid 1949 transition period.

It's not on the door pillar or in the glove box.

I'll start looking for stamps on the frame, maybe I'll get lucky.
