Hi,

Working on a 57 3100 and took my drums in to see if they are turntable. The Brake tech said that its at .025 over already but because of the rust in it it will go past the max of .060 to clean them up. So now looks I have to scrap them. Does any one know a good place to get replacement drums. Would the front hubs come with the drums or do I have to drill out the hubs from my old ones? I saw muscle car brakes has a whole kit, has anyone ever used them? Any feed back?

Thx

Any auto parts store should be able to provide the stock brake drums that fit on without drilling. Auto parts dealers that specialize in these old trucks (LMC etc) can get you the stock drums as well. I've never used muscle car brakes, but those suppliers that sell entire kits usually do a very good job of providing everything you need.

I got mine a couple years ago from NAPA Auto.

Assuming your front drums are org, they will be riveted to hub. You will have to get rid of rivets that hold drum to hub, install new drums. From what I have read here on Stovebolt , there seems to be no need to reinstall those rivets.
