Actually, I would also like to get the paint codes for the interior paint on a 46 chevy truck. I know it is a "hammered" finish. Is there something that needs to be added to the paint to obtain that or can a place like O'Reilly's mix that, as they have mixed all my other paint. Also, is there a "trick" to painting that? Thanks

The current PPG code for '46 Brewster Green is 40042. The current paint codes from PPG and the other companies are listed at this Paint Code link. [ paintref.com] Scroll down and click on the small paint chip to see it larger. Of course the colors aren't necessarily true on computer monitors, but it gives a pretty good idea of how light or dark the colors were. paintref.com also has copies of the vintage paint chip documents for many years and makes. For example, staying with '46 for the moment, scroll down a bit on this page for Martin Senour's '46 Chevy commercial paint chip page. [ paintref.com] Fun site to explore. Doug
