What type of sealant should be used on the windshield stainless steel center garnish molding? This is the piece that has four screws that go through a backing plate inside the cab and secure the stainless garnish molding to the windshield.

Okay, I noticed in the FAM a note about using a sealant on those holes. I may just use some silicone and call it good.

I remember on the ones I have done that the holes were very tight on their own so I didn't use any sealant. Will they stay that tight in the future? My great grandchildren may be able to tell us once their parents and they have been born and and grow up old enough to drive. They will likely be teleporting by then and not know what a truck is.

Okay, well longevity shouldn't be a problem, LOL! I have one that experienced some PO damage and needs to be replaced. Maybe I'll be as fortunate as you and 49 3100 with my replacement molding.......

Thanks,
