Wife and I are watching an Australian TV series “A Place to Call Home” on the Roku channel. Set in the early-mid 50’s, it’s about a young beautiful blonde Jewish widow who moves to a small farm town and falls in love with a wealthy widower. Lots of backstory I won’t write here.... Anyway, some interesting period automobiles and trucks, including a cool right-hand drive 1954 1420 Flatbed. A 1949 Chevy Ute, a cool Holden Sedan and a couple of luxury sedans and sports cars.

We’re nearly thru season 2 and the wealthy widower is driving a super cool 46-49 Buick convertible with right-hand drive. I don’t know Buicks from that time very well, but it’s a gorgeous long swoopy car. (My favorite Buicks are 1953.)

Ron, that first one isn't a Buick, but we all know you're partial to Plymouth Cars. wink
A question? When did Buick start with the portholes in the hood/fenders? Obviously after 1947. I was expecting to see them in that link, as in - Don't all Buicks have portholes?
Answered my own question: According to this [macsmotorcitygarage.com], they started in 1949.

Kevin, it was a black Buick convertible when I posted with a man standing beside. This it, I hope. [forums.aaca.org]

Yes that’s the car in the show.

There is also a 39 or 40 (I think 40) right-hand drive 1 1/2 ton Chevy.

Ron you had two links in your first post that you apparently edited. This was your first original link: Your father's Buick. [davidsclassiccars.com] No worries though. I was just tweaking you a little. wink

That Davids classic car is a place I would not trust. They have a car currently listed that was sold 3 years ago. They glean ads and then try to broker the cars. I tried to buy from them and then found how they work. Yes, I don't know how the Plymouth showed up. I deleted it.
