Front License Plate Mounting

I purchased a front license plate mounting bracket from LMC for my ‘57 3200. I can’t figure out how to mount it. There is one unused hole in the front bumper but every picture I’ve seen of ‘57 trucks with front plate had it on top of bumper in front of grill. Any ideas, photos of your bracket, mounting holes, etc would be appreciated.

I don't have a 57 3200 but looking at these photos it looks like your bracket may mount to the sheet metal behind the bumper making the plate set just above the bumper. I'm sure someone else will have more knowledge of this than I do.

Thank you olezippi! The picture with the bumper off tells it all. I haven’t had my bumper off to see those holes. I plan to paint the truck this year, so I might have discovered the holes then, but previous owner could have filled them in. I’ll crawl under later today and see if they exist.

UPDATE: I crawled under and the holes are there. I added pic. Thanks again! This forum, you guys, are awesome.

UPDATE 2: I got the plate mounted. Picture added. Thanks again olezippi. I hope this post can help some other newbie.

The FAM, Section 14, Sheet 2 shows that bracket & mounting. Ditto what Olezippi said and what you finally found

Thanks delky! I have a shop manual but I didn’t know there was a Factory Assembly Manual. I found it online and saved it to my ebooks. I found the section/sheet you referenced. I might purchase a paper copy someday.
