It has to be a kit that is listed for that cylinder. The same kit will fit many applications. Any parts store should be able to supply it.

So I dropped by Napa in search of a rebuild kit and lo and behold they had the entire unit for just $48!

Thanks everyone for your help! if I ever get around to modernizing the system I'll be sure to do a write-up or something.

have been trying to connect with you big bolts for 2 yrs left comments earlier but dont see them yet not a computer geek so will check back later. started with 53AD 3100 in 67 have had about 25 or 30 trucks since,drivers,6400 on down,mostly stick,worked on em for real the first time in 70 s current one is 51 6400 driver yr around truck !

You wouldn't happen to know what type of alternator I need do you? Pretty sure this one is dead.

You probably should start a new thread if you want to talk about alternators, post a picture of what you have and I am sure you will get lots of help.
