I have located a 2002 savanna frame and drive train. My question is the guy says something is knocking in the engine or trans any ideas? Also how do I identify the engine he says it’s a 5.7. Is a 5.7 engine a ls engine?

This is not the place to discuss a 2002 vehicle.

Well you should have mentioned that in your first post. Your header should have been something like “Frame Swap ‘46 COE” then in the body of your post discuss what you are wanting to do. All of your questions addressed a 2002 and nothing was said about the ‘46. Always word your topic and the post in general to provide us with as much information as possible. No harm no foul. Lesson learned.

I'm not positive, but most of the LS engines I have seen are 4.8, 5.3, and 6.0 Plus a couple larger ones.

a 5.7 would be a 350 as well.

Post a pix of what you are looking at, maybe this should be in the "hot rod" section?

Another quality post.

GM started using the LS engines in 2003 in the van chassis. However, they did keep on using the 4.3 V6.

If it is a 5.7, it would be a Vortec 350.
