I’m lucky my grandchildren 4 of them live 2 doors away and the other 3 live within a 5 minutes drive so I get to see them all

So far I miss the fact that one really cant travel anywhere they want to right now. Several months ago, we were in the midst of planning for a trip to Italy...that's certainly not going to happen.

The Grand baby is having eye surgery this morning. We have been to every one of her appointments but we will not be there today due to the virus. Praying that everything goes well.

We had perfect trips planed with our children to the beach in May with our Daughter & SIL (Canceled) and to Savanah, GA in August with our Son & DIL (Pending). I knew it was too good to be true.

Doing Mass in front of the TV and have traveled (virtually) to many cities around the US to attend. (Trying to make lemonade out of this thing.)

We are keeping it local here for essentials and staying out of the big box stores. We are lucky to have everything we need locally in small stores.

All of that said, our blessings are many. The wife and I woke up this morning, so we thank the Lord for another day. The tiller is restored, the garden is planted, I ordered parts for my favorite fishing boat, and I am still working on and ordering parts for my Bolt. (No road trips though.)

Life is good!

I miss seeing the grandchildren/daughter.

FaceTime is an inadequate alternative.

Have always been a loner concerning social activities and never had kids so may be easier on me than some others. With a history of heart problems, diabetes, and 83 years old the med people wouldn't even waste a bed on me so I have to tip toe around others. Still do my 23 laps (1.6 miles) in the shop each morning and another 23 each night but by myself. I miss being a "helper" on machine set up or just holding something being bolted or welded in place. The guys made me feel better by saying the shop smells better with no "old guy" odor. Miss the ribbing also.

Freedom to go when and where I want and talk in-person to a couple of friends. Yes, Alvin, they are female.

We have our 50th anniversary coming up. Kids planned a big get together on the Oregon Coast. Instead, we’ll be at home, on the phone.

Happy in isolation. Although I have no symptoms I feel I can go for a drive or walk without concern. I have my animals and I can get groceries online and if I need something from the vet or the hardware store I phone ahead, give them my credit number and when I arrive at the establishment the item is brought out and put in the car. Each time I go out I wear a mask and gloves and wash my hands when I return.
I like the fact traffic is down by about 75% so it is much quieter. And one thing which was mentioned above are handshakes. I found that no longer shaking someone's hand I missing the connection.
It seems a quieter world, here especially.

I miss my wife not being at work every day.
She has cleaned everything inside and outside of the house.
I now have to take my work boots off before I turn onto our street when I come home...
I got lectured for not washing the soap after washing my hands every 10 minutes in case I touched my face.
