I seem to remember my 1959 3800 dually having threaded dust caps on the front hubs, but it's been gone for several years. If you don't find one soon, drop me a PM and let's talk about making one or more. I can use the one you have as a pattern.

Hi guys. Yes its on a dually 49 gmc. Pictures aren't the best but to my untrained eyes it doesn't look tapered and almost looks to be a fine thread cut. I'll try to determine the threads and if I cant locate one we ll have to look into having a couple made up. Thanks to all. John

John, the part number you are looking for is 365120. There is a pair of NOS on eBay, not cheap. A quick search of Parts Voice shows Dans Obsolete GM Parts and Chicago Auto Parts as having stock.
