Hello, Friends. Been a long time. It’s time for me to consider parting with my beloved “JW”

There’s a few photobucket pics in my profile from the day it came home. Looks like photobucket lost or hid many others. This truck was an incredible barn find that sat indoors from the late 70s/early 80s until I bought it a few years ago. Looks like original paint from 10 ft but it’s an old repaint. Original bed wood from what I can tell and in fantastic shape. Previous owner used this truck and it bears many period modifications. His name and farm location are still hand painted on the fender.

I’ve done a lot of mechanical work and tried hard to keep things correct. Too much to mention here. Engine runs but needs new exhaust hooked up. Since those pics, it now has period-correct one piece 16” wheels wearing radial tires. Really lacks very little to be a driver. Brakes have been done. I’d guess it might need some front end work before much highway driving. 4 speed tranny.

Lots of interesting paperwork and artifacts that tell the truck’s story. It’s a time capsule.

Title is in my name but the truck was always titled/ registered by the original 216 serial number. That engine was swapped out in the distant past to a 1962 full pressure 235. I have some original registrations, the name on the fender, it all ties out. Was just never re-titled in the new engine number. Common issue with vintage vehicles. Please know and understand the process in your state for dealing with that before inquiring.

I’m not in a position where I NEED to sell this, but life is busy and hate to see it sit neglected any longer. $11K OBO. Would prefer to sell this to real enthusiast here rather than the big auction site, but might do that if market dictates.

Busy day today, but had to get over the emotional hurdle of typing this post. I can get some more pics later on if you PM me. Serious inquiries only, please.

Edit: Forgot to mention —- this spent its whole life in southern MO. Humid climate mild winter. Less rust than most midwestern trucks but still has some. Lower front corner of cab mainly. Doesn’t show from a distance. Everything else super solid.

Thanks. I gotta see if I can recover the photobucket stuff and then take some new ones as well. Will try to get that done yet this weekend.

I don't think the car is still on right now.
