Brave is a browser and Duck Duck Go is a search engine. I just loaded the Brave app for my iPad. Part of the setup was to choose a search engine and I chose DDG. I have been using DDG for over a year and like it allot. I’ll have to use Brave for awhile to give any sort or reasonable evaluation. My initial thoughts are that I like it and it seems to operate smoothly and fast. Only time will tell.

- If you have to stomp on your foot-pedal starter, either you, or your starter, or your engine, has a problem.
- The 216 and early 235 engine are not "splash oilers" - this is a splash oiler.

Thanks Tim for the clarification. Now without hijacking this thread, any recommendations for email? I've been using Mozilla Thunderbird for as long as I've had Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird is starting to have issues. What's everyone else using, and are you happy with it?

I use Google Chrome browser (Google search engine), mail, and contacts.

I get it/them free for the rest of my life, I hope.
It includes unlimited storage (supposedly, unmined for personal information/preferences/activity by Google).

.....only been using Brave, and DuckDuckGo, for a week and i like it. Faster than lighting....it has taken me a little time to get use to the way the program works or rather the way it is different from my old system which was at least 8 years old.

....when my IT guy installed it he showed me how many "riders" had tried to attach themselves to my computer, or whatever it is called that the web servers do to our system that we don't like....and a few minutes it had blocked, or disallowed, 121.

I can't talk the lingo like my IT guy but hey, I don't want to know, i just want it to work when I want it to, hehehe

.....its called "ads and trackers". I just checked and it has averted 1,668 ads and trackers so far!!!!

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

I started using duck duck go 2 months ago but really have no way to evaluate if it is doing its job.

I’ve been using Brave with Duck Duck Go as my search engine for a couple of weeks now. I have it as an app on my iPad taking the place of Safari. It seems to be quicker than any other browser that I have used. Although what Tim has posted about “Brave Rewards” is true, you don’t have to sign up for it. I have not and it does seem to have any adverse effects in the browsers performance.

So far I like it!
