I am Max from Germany and I recently became a Stovebolt owner. My Trucky is a 1961 Chevrolet Apache with the 235 engine inside. Its a four wheel drive firetruck built in Switzerland for a Swiss Fire Department. In my papers it says its a K2503 Apache and that I am the third owner. Its currently not running perfectly because of some minor issues and has 33500 km (20815 mi) on the metric odometer. I am hoping to bring it from its current resting place to Kiel in one go, but you never know.
I have multiple questions about it and it would be awesome to have some help.
Thanks alot for reading this and I am sorry for any weird english.
Welcome to Stovebolt. As you may know Stovebolt is worldwide and we have members from all over.........I sent a part to Germany some time ago!! Thanks for the pictures. I think you have a nice project and it is definitely in much better shape than what some, or most, or us have dealt with over the years.
.......*** For the best help just try to post your questions in the most accurate garage forum....such as engine question in Engine Forum.....driveline questions in Driveline Forum.
One other thing, we all speak the same language here..........TRUCKS.
Welcome Max, we have stovebolters all over the world, as mentioned..A few years ago I met up with a stovebolter in Schorndorf, near Stuttgart. I gave him a stovebolt banner and with John's permission named him the German ambassador. You might see him if he goes back up to Hamburg to the big Oldtimers Show. Leo
