I'm redoing my 1951 and putting in a 292. Wound up building the motor up so the T5 is not gonna work. I have a cross-member from a 1954, V8 Truck Bell housing form a 1967, and a NWC T5 from an 89ish S10. The T5 already had the tag missing when I got it, but it does have a VSS, not a mechanical speedo drive. Willing to sell all or parts, just thought I'd see if someone was searching for this stuff since it took me a while to find it all. If nobody is interested I'll post it on Craigslist, but I'd rather see it go to a fellow Stovebolter. I've got $500 in everything. I'm located in southern Missouri, I can arrange shipping or work something out on meeting up. Can send pictures on request. I'm a long time lurker and I know this is my first post. I post build process pictures on Instagram, it's https://www.instagram.com/zacbrewer72/ if you want to check it out. Contact me @ zbrewer72@gmail.com

Just a tip, Zac, but I think you'll get more interest in the T5 if you can tell folks what the gear ratios are. The AD trucks with a 235 can be made to run exceptionally well with a T5, but only if you pay attention to the final gear ratios in each gear. Example: a 4.03 first and a 3.07 rear end equal a starting line ratio of 12.37. The AD truck when it left the factory had a starting line ratio of 12.08, so with this setup, you're only about 2.5% off and the world is beautiful. Good luck.

That was my original intent with the T5, Until I couldn't find a good 235. My dad's 54 has a 235 and he loves the better gears with the t5. I'll get the gear ratios this evening. The pumpkins turned out pretty good. I definitely need to start posting more. Funny part is, most of the questions I've got have already been answered. Definitely ready to get it running so I can make it to one of the meet ups

The S-10 T-5's have either a 4:03 or 3:76 first gear and a .82 or .72 overdrive in 5th. Would be a good selling point if you mention what gears are in your T-5

Howdy, I am curious. I am looking for a T5. I have a 1954 gmc.
I have gmc 302 I will be installing in the truck. I want to put a t5 behind it. I was told the t5 had a removable bell housing and the 4 bolt pattern on the actual trans bolts up to the 302's bellhoushing from the former old trans.

Does your trans have a removable bell housing?
I am also curious about the ratios.

Any info appreciated.
Mike

The seller hasn't been on site for almost a week. His email is in his ad.

Hey Mike,

I got completely side tracked on getting the ratios, I'll do my best to get those tonight. It does have the removable bellhousing. It should bolt up without a problem. I'll get some pictures as well. Sorry, it got a bit hectic this last week

Google So you want to install a T5 transmission. A lot of good info there. You will need to replace the input shaft on the t-5 with a 10 spline from a jeep if you want to use a 10 spline clutch disk. You need to know what rear ratio you are using for the overdrive to work
