I've probably watched almost every Andy Griffith Show and don't remember this early one.
Never have seen anything other than Fords on the show.
I figured Ford was a spouncer.

Now you why the rear seat is always missing in these Advance Design Suburbans.
The inside back area is full keys & knife/scissors sharpening equipment and the rear seat is on the porch smile

I thought the air scoop on the driver's side of "cab" was still used until 1950?

If this is original, I'd go with Tim and say '47 or '48. A '49 through '50 would have had 3100, or 3600 under the hood side CHEVROLET badge.
