We get a lot of packages, they seem to sneak them onto the porch so quietly, that Dawg doesn't even bark. The USPS guy is pretty good, except he will pack the mailbox as full as he can to avoid putting small packages on the porch.

Another quality post.

We also get a lot of package deliveries. Mainly UPS, USPS with some FEDEX sprinkled in. We live at the end of a 1/4 mile gravel driveway. The "regular" UPS drivers are used to the trek to get to our house so we have very few issues with deliveries. The "holiday" drivers tend to get confused and leave packages near the main road, in the driveway or by the mailbox. Our USPS driver is the best as she is a local resident and knows everyone on her rural route. She puts ALL the packages on the front porch.

Let's not talk about Home Depot. They delivered three pallets of pavers to my neighbors driveway. Excuse: "We deliver our rural deliveries by GPS. Can't depend on address markings on the road". My house is a 1/4 mile from my neighbors. I'm glad HD doesn't deliver precision guided munitions.

This is my do nothing outside day so I am waiting to check the mailbox it was possibly USPS and it is small and flexible enough to cram in the mailbox. I get people down the street mail, my number is 4041 and theirs 4141, so maybe. The neighborhood forum has posted about miss-delivered mail it is not an uncommon thing.

I have the same deal, 206W, and we're (206E). our town is only about 5 blocks wide, with a population of only 200. And they still mess up from time to time.

FedEx likes to do that to me as well, 'package out for delivery' all day long.

Shows up the next day, sometime in the evening.

but, truth be told, they are like everything else, they are all terrible.
