I’d like to buy a SM420 set up for a torque tube. 48-54 I believe. Should look like the picture.

There are several on Ebay, but they have different types of output's. They are also pretty pricey. Can you swap out the torque tube attachment parts (assuming that you have them).?

Another quality post.

I do have a low miler 67 (last production line year)model with all new bearings on my work bench but I'm in love with it because it has the factory switch for the back up lights.

Pick this one up and throw a bearing and small parts kit into it.

Most 1/2-3/4 ton sms are pretty good wear wise that I have seen unless they were left outside with the shifter stick out of them. Such a robust tranny for light duty use = little wear on the gears and synchros if driven correctly. Looks complete and a bonus if it still has the drive and driven speedo gears. he might also have the input yoke too

Awesome! Thanks! This is 5 hours away from me. I could do the trip in a day but I’m gonna wait until after thanksgiving day and after the snowstorm that’s currently hitting the region. I did contact the guy and waiting for a reply...

Reminder, CL and ebay links belong in that forum. If you want to advise someone of an item on either site you need to do so by PM or email. Items on those sites are transitory by nature where ads here are not and we don't want a lot of worthless links on the site.
