Don,
No forge. I bought a used cheap HF anvil about 2 years ago. It has a hardy hole but not a very good quality anvil. Better than nothing I guess.
I have a nice chunk of railroad tie but I’ve not shaped it for anvil work.
Metalwork is something I’m interested in but lack the shop space.
I hope to own a metal brake and bead roller one day. Some day . . . .

Jay,, that coat hanger looks pretty good, . have you ever tried a torch and hay wire? A friend of mine years ago had a dad who welded up a lot of stuff with wire and torch .. by the way my transmission didn't work as the kid an I must of put it together wrong,, This spring I will pull it out again and find some one that knows what we did wrong.. wish you were close by ,,I would probably pay ya enough to buy ya a welder. to fix the darn thing .

My web pages can guide you through a complete rebuild of a non-world class T5. I also made 4 videos, two that show disassembly, and two more that show reassembly of a T5. Please contact me for the links to that info if interested. It would be a great indoor project any time of year.
