Always wanted a Subaru Brat. Dunno why. Thought they'd make a cool dune rig, or 4 wheeler. You could really wind the torsion bars, giving it some crazy ground clearance.
Almost got one, but decided on a boat instead.

Those VW's really were gutless. The only one I ever liked was the Ghia. I finally got one, and the nose hadn't ever been pushed in!. But shortly after, my younger sister needed a car. So I sold it to her. She killed it. frown

It's nice to hear of all the advantages that these trucks had ,,I would never bought one as I needed more truck to do what I had to do with a truck .. lower to the ground bed is a good thing .
