Just wondering how to convert my stock 2 socket # 63 lamps 6 volt stop and turn light into an led. I was thinking of swapping in an 1157 socket and then buying the 6 volt 1157 led. Will this work? The truck is a 46 1/2 ton thx Kevin

I tried that and had an issue with how the replacement LED bulbs need to aim straight back to be seen, and the that the sockets in stock tail lights are on an angle. They were more dim than the original bulbs.

The #63 bulb supposedly had a BA15s base.

This 6v bulb supposedly fits that base?

Do the sockets inside of your tail lights point straight back?

They are listed on Amazon.Here. You will have to get a heavier duty flasher or the turn signal will not work.
Must use load Resistor item 34205 (need 2) or item 34235 when used with 6 volt LED lights. Go to LMC online catalog they have conversion led lights that fit in stock mounts.Lights

Yes my socket is angled. I was thinking maybe the regular flasher may work because I am leaving the incandescent bulbs in the front they seem fairly bright with the frosted glass. Probably be a bit of trial and error to get it figured out. I just ordered some led bulbs that tclederman suggested, it will be about a week before I get them. Thanks for the information

Does anyone know what load resistors I should use. There doesn't seem to be a lot of info on them. None seem to be 6 volt, or can you use the 12 volt ones. Also what ohms and watts should they be. The leds I am using are 1156 w19 6v Thx
