Ring in the new with some quality time with your old truck! A great time to tackle a winter project. If you do not have access to your truck, start your parts list for spring!
The days are officially getting longer now, you know!
Had an excellent afternoon on the water with Brother Roache, sea trialling his classic Boston Whaler Montauk 17 (with it's original 80 hp Merc) after coming out of the yards for some post mothball maintenance. It was my honor to be his chase/photo boat.
Tim, John and Mike were mocking us land lubbers a few months ago with their smirk talk. I had to educate myself at the time. I should have known better after spending many summers in my youth on a whaler. Anyway boys, nicely done. Another weekend of you all getting some hydro therapy and me getting it with grass clippings in my face.....Harumph!

I was born in Pylesville MD, and I remember my dad's brother having a cabin a river nearby but I am not sure of the name of the river. What stick in my mind was the Red river? Does anybody know if there is such a river? I think it would be in Harford County.
Pat -- Reedville .... Man, that's down at the end of the line, isn't it? That's pretty country and real Tidewater Virginia. Speaking of, Mikey and I spent some time near Hull Creek earlier this summer helping with the Annual Potomac River Swim. Looked like a nice area from the boat.
Don -- Man, looks crowded at that lake .... Here's a picture of *our* idea of a day at the beach. A beach only accessible by boat
I agree John. The lake of the Ozarks is a party lake with a lot of people, bars and go-fast boats. Vicki and I will be there this weekend and walk over to the Frat Party at Coconuts. We go over there once a year. I prefer to stay at home on the farm though and run the Deerslayer!

Of all the things I've lost in my life, I miss my mind the most!
Problem being around here is the disease,"Vibrio". The flesh eating disease. There are plenty of waterman around here that have lost their lives because of it. You won't catch me swimming in the waters around here. And If you have an open wound while your in the water. Carry a bleach bottle with ya on the boat to rinse those areas well. Hey John, theres a Vintage boat race in Breton Bay the first weekend in October. Interested in checking it out by boat???
