Phat, on the panel you say notice the nice splash apron. I have a 54 and the apron looks like mine, but on mine the license plate holder is in front of the parking/turnsignal light. What are the differences? I wonder if mine is truly a 54 apron.

I have always wondered why the license plate was there.

Is that the only difference? So I guess my 54 has a non original one cause you cant see the marker light at all.

The more I see '54's.....

The more I think I want one!!! Just that little bit different, and I think less popular than 47-53=more affordable.

P.S. Nice photos, Phat-I can appreciate the time and effort put into a resto, but RODS RULE! That little black 54 (primer?) covered in snow, hugging the pavement, on aluminum wheels-oh man DRIVE THE WHEELS OFF!

Wannabe cool

Here is a pix of a very nice truck but the owner used the newer (cheap way out) c-10 front clip.Too bad the truck was done nicely. Notice how he used offset wheels and skinny tires to hide it(it did not work) Tim and I both looked at this one in NY

54 and 55s are more valuable than the other years. Parts are also more expensive, there just aren't as many of them as the other years.

A fairly nice stock 55 went for $8500 on Ebay yesterday.
