Here's a couple pictures of the 21.5 gallon tank (available in the big trucks only) with measurements next to the 17.5 gallon tank.

Note, the filler neck on the 21.5 is different than the 17.5 neck and as would be expected the hold down straps are longer.

Both tanks are 52" long. The 21.5 is 14" tall, the 17.5 is 11" tall.

Thanks for the pics. My Spartan is missing its tank, I assume it was the 21.5 gallon one.

Thanks Mike, parted out a '59 C60 a few years back, need to shed a few parts that are taking up space, now I'll now how big a tank this one is.

The 17.5 gallon tank was standard issue on all 3000 thru 6000 Series Chevrolet Cab trucks.

The 21.5 gallon tank was standard issue on the 7000 Series and up Chevrolet Cab trucks.

Auto Zone carries gas tanks but you will have to know the year you want.

Yes, they carry the Spectra 18 gallon tank (17.5 gal replacement?), but I don't think the have the 21.5 gallon tank for the 55-59 Chevrolet big trucks.
