Hi guys, every time I start my car my generator light goes on for a couple seconds but today no light comes on at all. Checked voltage and everything is perfect but that initial generate light does not come on. Should I be co concerned and if so what should I check, thanks?

Change the bulb- - - -it's burned out. The "self test" is the light coming on with the "key on- - - -engine off".

He may have a car and is scared to say. One post says 1955 235, another says 57 235. He either has two or does not know what he has or is incognito.
OK sean, come out with it, we will first help you and then you will be banned.

Well he used the “C” word in his first post. I guess a 235 is a 235 one way or the other.

Did you check the bulb yet, per your other response? As you know, it's supposed to come on as key comes on and when motor starts it goes off.

I was trying yesterday after work but under the dash is very tight and couldn’t reach to get bulb out unless there is an easier way. I was on floor upside down but there is a lot of wires and hands aren’t small enough, trying not to break anything else. I am not off until Sunday and will try again.
