Been a long time fan and I FINALLY got the 'bolt that I've been wanting since a kid - just didn't expect it to be a 3 ton!

('89 Vandura and '50 GMC 9783.)

Will definitely be stopping by for help as I work on it! thumbs_up

Very nice big bolt! Dump bed? Can you show us a close up of the hood emblem, on the side?
I’m not sure how the numbers and details on a Canadian compare to US built.
But, you’ll notice that in 1950, manufacturers didn’t feel a need to paint TRUCK! On the side of it. Ha.😉

I have a large carbon footprint. That’s why my wife makes me take off my boots in the house.

She's a big one. How long is the bed? Looks to be 15 or 16 feet?

Very cool. thumbs_up

Justhorsenround: Thanks!

Steelonsteel: Heh, you noticed! Yes, a dump bed! It's a grain truck from a farm.
As for the badge, it just has GMC without numbers and under it is a "3 TON" plate riveted on.
When researching, I found that Canadian numbering was rather... different.

J Lucas: Not what I planned, but it was a good deal and got tired of not having my AD 'bolt.
As for the bed, I have yet to measure it. It will be able to hold lots and might even "pay for itself"!
Thanks!

Everyone: Thanks!

Rich'sToys: Too bad GMC didn't use the name LOADMASTER.

Ecratrods: Oh, it's a work truck for sure! Got it from a farm and will continue working.

KEVINSKI: VAN!
...but eventually the 3 ton will be doing the heavy towing.

Achipmunk: For sure!
