After much deliberation I’ve decided to let my 1959 Chevy chassis and a Carpenter bus body go to the next owner. This bus is in really good shape, especially for being 60 years old this year. I purchased it in February 2011 and spent the next two years working on it to get it on the road. It runs and drives really good. > It has the original Chevy 235-6cyl. engine and 4 speed transmission. 89,855 miles on the clock, but the speedometer is not currently working. > Lights, wipers, heater, signals, etc. are all in working condition. > It has the hard to find 22.5 wheels, which are powder coated. Tires are in good condition – one is new. The frame is as solid as a rock – no rust. The body doesn’t look great, but really doesn’t need much work. All windows raise and lower as they should. It has most of the original seats – missing three. I installed original Carpenter bus overhead shelves – which I don’t think you will find anywhere. I’ll even throw in my vintage Air Way Compass with it – because it looks like they go together! I really like this bus, but I don’t drive it much. It’s time for someone else to enjoy it and take it to the next level. Whether you keep it original or have plans to convert it to an RV (which seems to be very popular), you have a very solid start. Serious inquiries only please. $12,500
