Today, I was driving through backwoods misery (Missouri), stopped to lay some wood (pull a tree off the road), and then drove to town for lunch. As I was passing what I thought was a back woods gay bar, I saw what appeared to be a pink (not salmon) Stovebolt shirt. Naturally, I had to stop! I walked in and found the man belly up to the bar with a few other men sitting to his right. As I started to talk to him, I realized it was Don King! It was as exciting as seeing an extinct animal. What a treat to see an old friend, talk crap, eat lunch, and have a beer (or two). Even got to talk about a bunch of you ODSS guys.

Thanks for lunch and the beer Don! Next time I get to buy. Just please not at the gay bar this time! J/K

Chris

So Chris.
Why did you walk into the backwoods bar, when the parking lot was full of Ford F-250's or bigger?
And you in a puny 3/4 ton Durafix?
All I have to say Chris, It is lucky I was in there to guard your back side!

And John, What does LGBTQ Plus mean?
Come meet us in the Ozark hills, we will show you what real back country life is all about!
BTW, it is an Irish bar!

Good to have a cold one with you Chris.
I will be meeting up with another Bolter Friday and we hope to get a T-Shirt design worked up for the Reunion.

Don is not gay (nor is his boyfriend). However, if he camps out for too many nights in a row, he tends to suffer from a case of "camp queer."
This phenomenon was once eloquently described to me by a bear hunting guide in Maine. We came to camp as another group was preparing to leave. They had clearly been hemmed up in camp too long. The guide says to me in his Mainer accent, " Don't worry aboot deese guys, Call (he can't pronounce Carl with a gun to his head). Day just got a case of da 'Camp Queah'. It'll go way once day get back home."
(Disclaimer about the seemingly coarse language. The "Q" in the LGBTQ acronym does not stand for "Quiet" nor "Quaint.")

Carl!
You leave me speech less!
The back hills of Virginia have given you a good understanding of the Ozark hill folks.

Those folks from the uppity Maine area.
Don't have a clue! eeeek
