Hi everyone
I live in France and bought my car in 2016 in Los Angeles I did 800 miles and found some jobs that needed doing to improve the car. My shipper finally pulled the car out of the garage I had left it with in February 2019 and shipped it over. They had invoiced me, I had paid them and they must have forgotten the work as when I got it here nothing had been done so it looks like I am going to have to buy the parts and ship them over. I have a 1954 Sedan Delivery which should have had some work done in LA but although charged for the work they forgot to actually do it.
The first thing is I need to bring the brakes from under the floor to fit on to the firewall does anyone do a kit to do this? Second thing I will need is a steering box reconditioned preferred.

I can see why you posted this here. Some folks call a sedan delivery a truck and some don't and you're looking for parts. I think you'll get a larger audience in General Truck Talk or Panels & Burbs but it's not a solid fit in either of those either. Don't be disappointed if it gets moved again. We'll find a good home for it. I'll try GTT first.

Most of the suppliers that offer rebuilt steering boxes don't do the box themselves but send them to Lares in Minnesota. Some like Rock Auto just have Lares drop ship them to you.

Ditto on Evan's (coilover) advice regarding Lares, especially making the transaction through Rockauto.com

Sedan Delivery steering gear rebuild/remanufacture.

Do it through Rockauto.com, they will provide better service compared to try doing it directly through Lares (they may not still do it directly?).

- If you have to stomp on your foot-pedal starter, either you, or your starter, or your engine, has a problem.
- The 216 and early 235 engine are not "splash oilers" - this is a splash oiler.
