Anyone build a 58-59 Fleetside bed using the new bedsides? #1311828 Fri May 24 2019 06:46 PM

I am struggling to find a decent shortbox fleetside. I am considering ordering the bedsides that are available through a few of the aftermarket vendors.
has anyone done this? would there be a better method? Maybe use a different year bed and swap out the bedsides? Not sure if that would work.

bump on this- has anyone built their own bed from scratch? would it be easier to find a different year and put the new fleetside panels on it?

IMHO - I would continue with your search for a used fleetside bed. They are out there. Shoot aftermarket bed sides are averaging 800.00 to 1000.00 per side. And its overseas acquisitions. There must be a used bed out there that will more than likely be in need of some metal work...but hey its the real deal.

Good Luck!
