I need a gmc hood ornament. I believe they were from 1947 to 1953 on gmc only. It is the one that looks like an airplane. Must be in rechromable condition.

No price given, as I recall. But, it would be good to get on the Wait List, if you want one.

Yes ,I've tried that already. The price in a older parts book is $299 . I'm sure it's more now. I can see in the picture that it's not exactly correct. The original ones tail section is a 2 piece, and the repop is a one piece. Still looking though. Let me know! Thanks

You may want to check out www.oldgmctrucks.com There is a Jeweler from Germany on that site, that is reproducing exact replicas of the GMC Hood Rockets, from chrome plated brass.

I found the jet on eBay. Paid 88 bucks, still need to rechome it. I still need the base.
