Found an electric wiper motor on Ebay advertised a being for a 47-53 Chevy GMC truck. Is this right? Could this have been a factory option? Maybe an aftermarket part? Or is the seller full of bull?

Here is that part number (6v or 12v models) for a new wiper.
Better price, and, you will most likely get a minimal warranty.

Same part number, but, it does not look like your eBay item.

- The 216 and early 235 engine are not "splash oilers" - this is a splash oiler.

The plastic parts and push on electrical connectors should tell you that it's not right.

Looking at the listing again, I think that it will fit a '67 to '72 era truck. (if anyone is interested - $300 seems like a lot)

You are right on the money! Looked it up, perfect match. They're everywhere at under $50.
Evidently someone retrofitted it into an AD and now the Ebay seller thinks he has an original piece.
