There are a lot of after market lamps out there but, when it comes to original accessory lamps for the AD trucks the accessory book lists the Guide 2002 E 5 3/4'' lamps for 1949 & 1950 trucks. GM part # 986234.
I have also seen the 4 5/8" lamps { Guide 2004 E } used.

These lamps use the elaborate mounting brackets that bolt to the front bumper brackets

Thanks, MT

Do you know if those had the GM script,
and/or if they were painted block, or stainless, or chromed?

- The 216 and early 235 engine are not "splash oilers" - this is a splash oiler.

The 1951-1954 accessory books list the Guide 5" {2023} lamps as the correct accessory for the AD trucks. GM part # 986524.

These lamps use the 45 degree mounts that secure the lamps to the front splash apron only.

I have no documentation for the correct lamps for the 1947 & 1948 trucks.

The only lamps that had a GM script were the aftermarket Unity lamps & those can be used but were not an original accessory.

On the off chance you are looking for 6v fog lamps. I have a set of Deitz lamps on my '38 that use the 4012A (amber) bulb. I don't remember the exact size but they are a bit over 5" in diameter.
