When i removed my longbed stepside from our 55.2 3600 truck, i did not see any wooden block spacers between bed and frame.

Seatched thru forum back 4 pages or so, did not see any info on this......

Is my truck supposed to use the wooden blocks?

I have a 54 3600 and GM changed the frame and bed design for 1954, and no longer use wooden blocks , same for 55.1 , 55.2 . There are 8, 1/4 " thick rubber pads used in the eight bed to frame bolt locations. You can get them from several sources, Mar-K has them, their p/n 120181 , $13.00 for set of 8.
