Measure the length of the head bolts you need and go to either the Dorman or Pioneer open stock head bolt listings. They're simply 1/2"-13 Grade 8 head bolts, nothing fancy about them. You might consider using Grade 8 SAE flat washers under the bolt heads. Bolts for a 54-62 235 will work, also. Jerry

Are they the same as 235 216 head bolts? I have many of them.

Carl , The two cylinder guide pins get screwed into the cylinder block Front & Rear holes on the manifold side of the engine . This holds the gasket in position so you can guide the cylinder head into place . You can do a trial fit when the block & head are super clean . Screw the guides thru the head gasket . You could go to the hardware store & buy a couple of carriage bolts - 1/2 " - 13 x 5 or 6 inches and cut the heads off to use as guides . PIC https://i.postimg.cc/FsPJfZVH/261-head.jpgGeorge '54 3600

Carl -- I removed your phone number from your post -- that sort of Personally Identifiable Information is best left to PM's or email.
And by the way, have you read our Tech Tip on 261 rebuilding?
Thanks for using our site!
