1953 Chevrolet 3100 5 Window $19.5K

This 1953 truck had a frame off restoration and is about 97% finished. This was a one owner truck, a woman in the San Francisco Bay area purchased this brand new. She drove the truck until approximately 1990 at which point she was unable to drive. The truck sat on the side of the family home until I purchased it in 2008.

I completely tore the truck apart down to the frame. The frame was in great shape however some of the rivets had started to loosen. I proceeded to drill out all the rivets sandblast and paint the frame then reassemble with stainless steel bolts. From there the 216 that was in the truck was shot, I purchased a 1957 235 and did a full rebuild.
This came as is a standard 4 speed on the floor. I had the transmission rebuilt and rebuilt the rear end took out the original 411 gears and replaced with 355. Front end and all the brakes have been rebuilt.

From there I started on the body. It had the usual rust lower door panels, floorboards, lower cab both front and back. I had all the metal cut out and replaced and still using the original doors.

The interior was completely refurbished with a new bench seat not original.

I could go on and on about all that has been done to the truck I have the receipts and pictures to show it’s progression. I say it’s 97% done because there is still work to do, and at this point I just don’t have the time available to work on the truck and would be happy to get it in the hands of someone that does. I can go into more detail in areas that still need to be addressed they are mostly cosmetic. The truck is up and running and only about 10 miles on it.

I am asking 19.5k that is the total I have invested just in parts and for the most part my labor. I was able to do a majority of the work keeping the cost down. I would love this to go to a true fan of this style of truck and someone that is interested in a project. It’s a beautiful truck and I built this with it being a driver in mind not a show truck, with a little love someone will have a vehicle that is about as close to new as you will find.

Assuming the 19.5K is your asking price I added the dollar sign for you. Helps prevent confusion. If that wasn't your intent let me know and I'll remove it.
