The 6 blade was an option for slow moving trucks...

Philippe,

Do you know the GM part number for that 6 blade 216 fan?

- If you have to stomp on your foot-pedal starter, either you, or your starter, or your engine, has a problem.
- The 216 and early 235 engine are not "splash oilers" - this is a splash oiler.

Philippe,

Is a fan shroud an option for your vehicle? There was an optional fan shroud for '34-'36 Chevy trucks. Here's one installed on my '36 PU. They must be rare because this is the only one I've ever seen except for a photo of one in a Chevrolet service bulletin from 1936.

That fan code might have been for an optional fan/pump, but that 6 blade pump is listed as 18" diameter, part number 604225 on 1937-1953 Chevrolet UTILITY (1.5 ton and bigger) trucks (for low speed operation).

Link to the pertinent page in the Master Parts Catalog is given in my post above.

I cannot find an RPO code/number.

Hello Yar,

That is one very rare accessory that you have...Have you ever run the truck without it and seen a big difference? On the other hand, like to see other photos of your truck... Looks very nice for what I can see...

Funny thing, I just replaced my thermostat with a 160 deg. and actually seems hotter than with the older 180 deg. unit. By hotter I mean 180-185 where before it would take a while to climb up to that temperature... Wonder if I have an air bubble in the system...
