I'm sort of finishing up the weatherstripping on my 53 cab (which might really be a 49) and I am confused about what goes where how. I have three different metal strips, and don't know which one goes where. I need to install the rubber strip that goes on the edge of the floor , and the piece that goes along the bottom of the door.

If anyone has a picture of how these look when installed I would appreciate it. It's been so long since I took this apart that I have no idea how it looked originally.

I am currently digging back in to a 1953 3800 (one ton) with a nine foot bed. I've owned it since 1979, and drove it until 1982 (or so). My wife got me involved in restoring it back in 2002, got the body removed and the frame redone, then things came up. Now I am retired and starting again. If anyone is interested I have photos on Imagur ( https://timwhiteblues.imgur.com/ ). I live way back in the woods in the Ozarks on 40 acres at the end of a 2 1/2 mile private road.

If you have classic parts cat, or go online--part 03-255 goes on the floor with 03-155 under it. I used the ss on my 49 and 51. 03-061 goes on bottom of door with 03-011. Hope this helps--Bill

For images go to any post by Achipmunk . At the bottom along with his tag line just click on the "52 Chevy Panel" link. About 100 images into his Panel restoration (nut and bolt to bare frame) you'll find what you're looking for.

Just be warned, if you're like me, you'll leave his garage with a defiant inferiority complex!

Thanks, the photos were just what I needed. I think I must have parts from several different years, and I have trouble figuring out what was originally on this truck.
