Hi All!

I recently purchased a bit of a hodge podge of an older truck (pics here). The body (I've been told) is from '48, the doors are from '51, and the engine is a mix of '53 (headers) and '55 for actual engine block. I know very little about engines or cars, but am very excited to work on the vehicle

My first question is can I use a mix of 1953 header (low pressure header) with the engine casting from the 1955?

Thanks in advance!
Matt

Matt, welcome to the Stovebolt madness. There is no cure! shake
FYI, the Welcome Center is just that. A place to introduce yourself and your project. Questions are not appropriate for the simple reason that 95% of our 41000 members never return to the W/C after the initial visit. Your particular question will get the best answers in the Engine Forum.

BTW, my brother lives in Mena and has several Stovebolts. He’s into the hotrodding thing.

Hi Matt, welcome to the site!! Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question but, as Martin said, probably best to ask that in the engine forum.

Welcome to the Stovebolt, Matt, the best place on the globe for old Chevy, and GMC truck guys. See you around the garage.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
