My guess would be a 1/2 ton front axle. 6 lugs ended in 70 for older trucks. The 12 bolt
, 8 lug rear, Dana 60, was used in 3/4 ton late 60s to 70s.

When I checked I found that Dana 60 has 10 bolt. Where did I go wrong?
Raider....are you saying that the brakes are locked? This is a common issue with trucks sitting a long time. Unscrew the bleeder. Then it's bang bang, lever, twist, pry and bang and heat and soak and bang and maybe a puller. Sometimes things get broken but parts are available.
