I have read on some other forums that folks change weight for summer and winter. I live in Houston and was wondering what other Texas folks think about changing weight. Also, what brands, or weight you guys are using? What brands of oil filter do you guys like or prefer?

This is my first old truck!

Thank you in advance

JB

I am running Brad penn 30weight in my 216 (with Babbitt bearings) year round. I have driven close to 2500 miles since July in it. Has no oil filter.

As long as it’s not tired, you should use whatever the manual states. That is what I am doing.

Chris
