Put a few miles on the freshly finished ‘62 C-10. All seemed fine and it runs out good. Turns and stops as it should. As usual “Blue” drew a few looks, smiles and waves.

Spring weather tempted me to interrupt my window channel project and take the panel truck out for a spin. Ha ha, you can see the masking tape temporarily holding things together on the window!
Needed an excuse to drive the ‘50 more than just to the grocery store, so I drove 62 miles round trip to Castroville to pick up a load of screened topsoil to put on the front yard. A half yard weighed about 750 lbs, and filled the bed pretty good. The truck handled the load just fine coming back. Filled up before I left and again at the same gas station when I got back and I was pleasantly surprised at the calculated mileage....... 19.7 mpg. In the 11 years I’ve owned it it’s the best mileage I’ve ever had. Averaged about 45 mph going and coming.

Modern ‘science’: the wonder of a pre-determined mind…
The ‘baseline belief’ of astronomy: “Any day now, we’ll pick up a tiny, coded signal from outer space. Then we’ll know for certain that there is intelligence out there, because coded information does not arise by chance”
The ‘baseline belief’ of biology: The precisely coded genetic information in every cell would fill many books… but we know for certain that no intelligence could have created life.”
Drove the ‘62 C-10 into town this morning for breakfast. Foggy and damp so I was glad the electric wipers were repaired last year. Lots of thumbs up and smiles from the Sunday morning breakfast club.

Drove the ‘62 C-10 into town to the Tag Agency. Time to renew the tags on Ms Kathy’s 2016 Durango and my 2014 CanAm Spyder. Waves and smiles were the order of the day.

Today was our annual Fried Onion Burger festival. Drove the ‘62 C-10 into town to walk the car show and see the granddaughter do her dance routines. Lots of fun.

Martin, you're gonna need new tires soon. Driving the tires off em is fun. I tried to find images of the Fried Onion Burger Festival/car show and didn't find a lot. t
Lots on the Burger but not much on the show. The show is not as big as the one coming up next month.
