It happens in our hemisphere every spring.

Just finished up on a 3.55 ring and pinion install on my 53 3100, plus all new bearings. Good bye 4.11
This truck just went 65 miles an hour. Very happy, smooth quiet gears and really pretty much an easy R&R.

The odometer in the '62 C10 stopped working a few years ago. I took it apart a while ago to investigate and found a broken gear in the drive section. Since I didn't have the parts to fix it, I reassembled it and put it back in the truck. The Speedometer was still working so I was good with it.

Fast forward to a couple weeks ago when I was digging in the shed and found the old gauge cluster I took out when I converted to all gauges instead of Idiot Lights. I took it apart and Hurray! The gears in that speedometer were in good shape.

Today I pulled the cluster out of the truck and made a good speedometer/odometer out of the two of them.

It's nice to know how far I've travelled. Total cost? About an hour of my labor. I think I can afford that.
