Very nice! Heck, I'd hang that in my living room!

I test fired my '51 panel today after a marathon cracked head replacement project. All seems well so far.

Last week: radiator was leaking in the '65 C10. took it out, went to my mechanic to try to find a radiator shop... found one, dropped it off the next day... picked it up a few days later, put it back in, did the dance with the anti-freeze and funnels.

Been trying to figure out which radiator I have... in case I had to buy a new one.

01/28/2019 - radiator: 9 pictures

Still not 100% on that, but at least this one is working good for now.

Oh yeah, a good tip: rubber gloves make dealing with anti-freeze soooo much easier.

old trucks are fun.

Worked on my box today. Installed angle strips and cut quarter sawn White oak for the bed wood. Will figure out what and how to finish them.

If going "original" paint them black...prime with POR-15 and then top coat with POR Top Coat...you won't be disappointed. If you use a clear urethane or spar you'll be redoing it every few years because they just don't hold up now that they are water based...

I did put my new MD State permanent "Life Time" tag on the fire truck! Vehicle has to be 60 years old to qualify for this tag smile

MINWAX "Helmsman indoor/outdoor spar urethane is not water based. MINWAX does produce a polyurethane water based product sold as MINWAX Super Fast-Drying Polyurethane For Floors. I used the Minwax indoor/outdoor HELMSMAN clear semi-gloss spar urethane 8 years ago, applying 6 or 7 coats between light sanding with steel wool. The only change is a very slight darkening of the oak boards. Of course my 51 was not rebuilt as an original, and for that reason I would recommend Mike B's suggestion of black paint and POR-15 if that is your plan.

Installed new seat covers. I bought a set from Jim Carters for a 41/46 to fit my '97 Chrysler mini van seat. I had my wife adjust them to fit.

Heater blower motor stopped working. The fuse looked good so I was stumped. Bought a box of new ones (SFE 14) from O’ Reilly. Put in a new one and shazam, I’ve got heat now!!
