I just ran into a really nice guy, Mike in Williams, AZ. He owns the Route 66 Gallery and gift shop. He has 2 nice trucks! A 1928 Chevy and a 1954 3600. I told him about Stovebolt.com so hopefully we shall see him on here.

Driving Rt 66 is on my to do list. I'll have to make a note to stop by there.

Another quality post.

I plan on making a mega-road trip next spring. Alaska - Seattle - (some parks in between) - Kansas City - Oklahoma City - SoCal to visit mom - (some more parks along the way) - Northern Cal to visit sis - and back home up the Alcan highway to Alaska. Was thru the western part of Route 66 way back when before the interstates existed. Mom got the swamp cooler clamped in her window, but Dad and us kids just got to sweat on the LA-to-Needles stretch. grin
May make Williams one of my stops. Will be collecting parts for my truck (probably stopping at Jim Carter's and Mar-K). Planning on getting a cargo trailer, so could possibly do some parts transport for other members along the way. Will post more at the trip gets firmed up.

Sounds like a great trip.
I.m sure you can hook up with a lot of Bolters on the way.
Also we would like to hear about your travels the good and the bad.
If you head to St. Louis. I'll meet you somewhere along the way.

Wave as you drive through El Reno, Okla, and you will if you stick to Route 66. I live 3 miles straight south of 66 as it twists through town. Give me a heads up and I’ll buy you a world famous Fried Onion Burger.

Already have a couple of bolters on the list to visit. I'll keep you all in mind.
I'll also report on the trip.

Talking about "Williams , AZ .... and Route 66" .

Here you go : 2019 Rt. 66 FUN RUN .... Cruise Old Rt 66 the 1st week of May (2019) through Williams , (starts in Seligman, AZ ), and drive west to Kingman,AZ
(with a Downtown CAR SHOW & overnight in Kingman) , then drive on thru "Oatman,AZ" (Sunday morning) and on to Golden Shores / Topock, AZ.
I've been the last 4 - 5 years (cruising with a few Nova friends) ...... meet up in Seligman ........ and drive to the end. Includes 700 to 800 plus cars & Trucks
of all 'types' ... any kind of vehicle is welcome.

That would be fun! There is no way I could make it there since I have to work late on Friday in El Paso! What a bummer!
