The Decatur swap meet is coming up real soon on February 22 & 23. I’ve been going the last 6 years, and kick myself for not going sooner. It’s a really a good show with lots of vendors. It’s where I first met ole Cletus, God rest his soul. The North Texas Inliners always have a couple of spaces there. Pray it doesn’t rain this year!

Wise County Fairgrounds

Decatur, TX 76234

Hours:
8am-6pm - Rain or Shine

Attendance: 40,000

Phone Number:

The forecast had been for rain and wind on Saturday, but it changed at the last minute to sunshine and warmer temps, but still windy. I decided to take a chance and made the 5 hour trip from San Antonio. It was about 55 F and pretty breezy when I arrived, but by noon it had warmed up nicely. It had rained the night before so it was pretty muddy in places, but it didn’t stop me from having a good time. I really enjoyed wandering up and down all the rows looking for treasure, and was lucky to find a couple. Found a pair of tailgate chains, a nice radiator fan, and 3 new pair of Stihl goatskin gloves ($3). I even bought a nice Ping G15 driver for $12. I’d been wanting a new one! I’m already looking forward to next year!
