A few days ago I got 4 phone calls in a row and they left a voice mail that Facebook had been hacked please call. I did not. Yesterday I answered one of the stupid questions about 'would you do' and I have forgotten the rest. My ex-boss had already responded with yes so typed something that I thought was amusing about 3 words but when I hit send it turned into to the word-yes. Does anyone think it is a hack or scam or even connected??????

Why put yourself out there so all the hackers and scam artists can take advantage of you? Facebook and all the other social media functions like them sell your information to their advertisers. If you're not paying for social media access, YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION IS THE PRODUCT THEY'RE SELLING! I simply refuse to get caught in that mousetrap, no matter how tempting the cheese they're using for bait smells. I'm also not vain enough to believe any "friends" I might make there really care about all the mundane trivia about themselves that most users post.

For me it is an easy way to keep in touch with family, none live close to me and I also keep in touch with JDL. Not an apology just a fact and you are correct, HRL. If the Federal Guberment isn't safe I am not sure I could protect myself no matter how safe I try to be.

Nope!! Never will be. Don't care if so and so cooked a new meal or went to the car wash. Better things to do with my time (but can't figure out what!)

Yes, i am on FB. I enjoy seeing the activities my grandkids are involved in. I also get to keep up with family scattered around the country.
I have a few vehicle pages I follow.

Yes there are ads on the pages, I ignore them. I have never received an email from FB requesting anything. If I did I wouldn't respond.

If I want you to know anything about my private life I will send a written letter or phone you on a land line. I never enter a contest or do anything that requires my name, address, or phone number. I get very few spam hits or junk phone calls while my wife's email and phone calls are continuous. I like the philosophy of a friend and fellow racer from years ago. When I asked him about something on his race car his reply was "None of your d@mn business and I wouldn't have told you that much if I didn't like you".

I tried facebook a couple of times and eventually cancelled the accounts, its all junk.
And how do you "have friends" without meeting people face-to-face? That's the only way I'll talk to anyone; or by phone or email if they're already friends in my life.
