I'm planning on attending again this spring and have been looking into the hotels not far from Grigg's Stovebolt Compound.
There are eight hotels, all about eight miles from Grigg's place.
A couple are already full for that weekend.
Yes, there are two Best Westerns.
I'm planning on driving all day Thursday and crash in a hotel in Lexington that night.
Will be making reservations with in the next two weeks. Prices are all over the place.
I can always cancel a few days ahead if I can't be there.
Then check in HQ about noon or so Friday.

Motel Six has computer problems.

Also if anyone needs anything or wants me to look at in mid Mo. then haul your way, just let me know.
(anvil, truck, or tool box?)
Help with fuel will be the only thing asked.

Hope this helps!

In addition* to the above mentioned commercial lodging options we have:

--- Onsite camping, bring a tent
--- Ample RV parking, no hookups
--- limited RV parking on site with some power, RV parking with power 12 minutes away
--- Indoor "camping" onsite, bring your own sleeping bag/linens and make use of various beds and flat places on the floor

*Stay tuned for unveiling of the official Homecoming signup form in which we'll formally collect your preferences for onsite and remote accommodations. (this thread will not serve that purpose)

If you prefer a hotel please make your own arrangements as needed.

No offense there Cooky, but:
Real men sleep in tents, drunk, with random house cats (at least I think that it was a house cat last year).

Oh sure! Make that sweet offer right after I make my Real-men-sleep-in-tents-drunk-with-housecats speech...
Is this year's homecoming happening on our Birthday again? There better be cake this year.

Yep- - - -mine's the 27th. Yours too? There just might be some pulled pork BBQ if I get a chance to fire up the smoker before I head east. Better than cake any day!

Will there be a place to put up a tent? (Real men sleep in tents . . . . but . . . . do real tense men sleep in? Do they even sleep at all? ) Just something to think about.
