I think you asking about adding an avatar to your profile? Answer is you cannot; avatars are only for site administrators and moderators. You can choose not to see any avatars; there is a setting in your profile preferences for that.

As Gord posted. Avatars is part of the Moderator pay package. That along with an occasional slap on the wrist from John and a smattering of verbal abuse from disgruntled members and once in a while an imaginary beer from HQ completes our sweet deal. 🍻

Oh my .... I've been looking through the personnel files this afternoon and it would appear, Martin, that you are over due for an attitude adjustment .... Hmmmm. Well, guess what? We've instituted a new cost-saving policy at stovebolt.com -- henceforth, instead of me traveling all over, administering beatings .... um, I mean attitude adjustments ... to all the moderators, you are going to have to self-administer the beat--- um, attitude adjustment. When you have completed the ... training, fill out Stovebolt Leadership Form 6-71T and have the training officer sign it and return it to me. In triplicate.

Speaking of, are your shots up to date? Sensitivity training?? (Paul will be glad to help with that ... )

Your wish is my command oh wise and wonderful one. Said beating - - - - um, attitude adjustment will be completed within the hour thanks to assistance from Ms Kathy. Awaiting on email instructions for the Training Officer and have to go to Office Depot to locate some carbon paper. Shots are up to date with the exception of my distemper booster and rabies. I’ll try to get that handled tomorrow at my Drs appointment. I’ll make arrangements with Paul to give me a refresher course on Sensitivity while we are at the KC Reunion. Boy, I love my job!

BTW, Friday, May 23rd, 1986 I was shot while handling a shots fired domestic. My all knowing Chief required me to take a psychological test battery which also included Sensitivity training. Guess I was supposed to politely ask the gunman if I could shoot back. Who knew.

Well Martin, if you were to shoot back without asking then the gunman could feel threatened and end up not being able to sleep well. You wouldn't want that. Glad you are alive to look back on that experience.
