Bought a 54 3100 . I was Painted real good, but needs a lot of mechanical work. Have rebuilt the suspension and the brakes. am in the process of rewiring. While the wiring harness was out painted the engine and under hood. need to repaint the interior of cab. The glass in both wing(vent) windows needs to be replaced. This is how i found this site. my other toys are from brand F. (three model A's and a 65 Mustang conv.) am enjoying working on the 54 but have been stumped on R&R the vent windows. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

i do hve the Shop Manual. I am looking for information on r&r the vent window. They need to be replaced on both sides. i have the screws removed around the frame but not sure how it is installed in the door. i did not find any information in the shop manual about the doors/windows. Thanks for any help you can give me. Frank

We have a sub-Forum in the Paint and Body Forum called Doors. Your question should be posted there. This particular forum is mostly for build threads and/or Blogs not for answering questions. You will get lots of help there.

I'm glad I found this forum. I have alot of work ahead of me. I'm going to need alot of information to accomplish the work. Right now I'm recovering from passing out and falling, breaking my wrist and re breaking my ankle. I have a 54 chevy 4400 flatbed, 54 chevy 3805 panel, and a 54 gmc 350 coe and a 51 gmc suburban. So far there is so much info here its going to take some time to wade through it Todd from Washington state
